Origin of Grid Patterns
Most Earth Energy Dowsers first come across the concept of earth energy grids in the form of the Hartmann and Curry Grids. These well documented local grids have cell sizes of a few metres and are orientated with respect to the cardinal points in specific ways. In this article, we shall look at global Grids, more directly related to the macroscopic properties of earth energy sites The first question to ask is – What is the nature of these Grids and how do they arise? As of now, there is no clear answer but on-going research is beginning to reveal some tantalising properties of these Grids which relate to at least Solar, if not ultimately Universal, effects.
It is believed from limited existing data that these Grid patterns are in fact wave interference patterns, generated by solar/planetary interactions. The fact that at Solstices, Equinoxes and Eclipses, these patterns move over the surface of the earth in an apparent predictable fashion and can disappear for limited periods under certain conditions lends credence to this hypothesis. There is need to collect much more data on their movement at locations throughout the UK and elsewhere, particularly at specific times of the year when reversal of energy flow direction occurs.
Basic Grid Lines
Since Grid lines/patterns are part of a nested set of patterns (the universe is self similar, hence patterns within patterns etc.), the trick is to select those patterns that are key to fundamental location and sizing of sites, be they Stone or Crop Circles or indeed Barrows and other `sacred` locations. The basic pattern is a series of five lines, one set running close to a North/South direction, the second set being similar but at right to this set, i.e running basically East/West. The centre line of each of these sets is similar to say the double white lines on a public road. Energy flow is bi-directional and is what I and some other dowsers term a positive line with both rods pointing tip to tip. This is of course not universal but is suggested as a guideline for consistent measurement between dowsers. Outside of these centre lines at roughly a 60 metre separation are lines along which flow is directional in nature. If say on one line the flow is northwards, its corresponding partner the other side of the centre line flows southwards. By analogy with our road system, these lines are the kerb edges and we define the flow as driving on the left or right! Outside of these pair of lines, each around 120 m from the centre line are the outer edge lines.
These exhibit bi-directional flow but the rods in this case for me have their tips pointing away from each other. These related to our road are analogous to the edge of its (very wide) pavement. Fig. 1 shows the overall structure of these lines. Generally the stone(crop) circle sits at the cross over of these lines. The site is usually defined by a `Spider`s Web` pattern of lines including both radials and annular rings. Generally, there can be from 4 to 12 equi-spaced radials together with 3 to 7 or more rings. The energy flow direction in the rings alternates between contiguous rings. The crossover of these major lines is always associated with underground water flow.
The individual lines of the pattern are never straight on a scale of a few inches. They are in fact curlicue patterns, forming a continuous though highly convoluted spiral pattern. We now know these are mathematically similar to many of the forms generated in cloud formations, resulting from the interaction of differing local variations in energy density which occur in wave interference. Fig. 2 shows typical energy line curlicues.
Energy Line Movement
Most dowsable energy lines move laterally throughout the day by several centimetres or so but usually return to the same starting position. This pattern, linked to planetary body movement-particularly the sun and moon, transits throughout the day and is recognisably repetitive on at least a monthly cycle. However, much more data in separate locations needs to be accumulated to see how consistent these variations are.
As indicated above, major changes in line/grid positions occur at the Solstices, Equinoxes and Eclipses. The most dramatic effects occur at Solstices when the grid patterns start to move significantly as the Solstice approaches. The process usually starts around a fortnight before the Solstice. Within minutes of the exact Solstice time, the energy lines widen and move so much that to all intents and purposes they collapse. Within minutes however, they begin to move back and recover their initial position in a time less than it took to move originally. It is found however, that now the direction of flow of energy in the lines has reversed! The situation for a Solar Eclipse is very similar as witnessed by the recent UK event. In this case, the energy grid collapsed though this all occurred of course within a few minutes. Within less than half an hour, things were back to normal. In the case of Equinoxes, however, things are not so dramatic.
Fig. 3 shows the movement of a solitary positive line leading up to and beyond the recent March 2004 Equinox The overall line movement is seen to be modest at only a few metres. No energy line reversal takes place. However, the time sequence of the event displays the same slow rise/rapid fall characteristic observed with Solstices. The May 4th Lunar eclipse showed around a two hour or more build up time to a peak line displacement of some 20 metres. The fall back time was however, in this case similar to the build up. Again no flow reversal took place.
There is a clear need to collect far more data on energy/grid line movement throughout the country as well as for differing line systems. Collectively we still know very little and to help us understand the physics far better, we need experimental results to establish and verify suitable mathematical models. The model that is evolving is based on a controversial Russian Theory, Torsion Field Theory, which is based on the property that everything possesses angular momentum and interaction between objects is via spin or vorticity.
Fig. 4 shows the earth orbiting the sun and indicates how its component of spin vector in the ecliptic varies depending on the time of the year. The spin vector itself can be resolved into two components, one radially towards the sun, the orthogonal component being tangential along the earth`s orbit. It can be seen that only at the Solstices does the tangential component reverse direction, in line with directional flow along the energy lines. The spin field is claimed to be synonymous with the flow of space itself and this in turn gives rise to interaction with the earth`s basic vibrational frequency namely just under 8 cycles /sec. The resulting interference pattern around the earth has a wavelength very close to 1km which is remarkably close to the separation of the basic grid patterns outlined in this article. Whether this model will ultimately be seen to a good descriptor of the overall interference process will depend on the quality and quantity of data collected to help verify the models being proposed. The author would welcome interest and suggestions from those willing to participate in a Grid Pattern research activity. It can only help us gain a better understanding of this most fundamental Earth Energy problem.
