Fixing faulty links

Post by Grahame »

Here's a tip that will help speed things up in getting the forum back into shape.

If you find any broken links in your own posts that are trying to link to another forum topic, edit your post (click the little pencil icon at the top right), then look for the link codes in your post, which will begin something like this:

Code: Select all

[url=http://forum.britishdowsers.org/viewtopic.php... then some numbers
Change that to read:

Code: Select all

[url=http://britishdowsing.net/forum/viewtopic...etc
...then the link should work correctly. It's one of the reasons I chose this domain name, as it's not hugely different from the old one so it's pretty easy to change these links. I'm slowly working my way through the forum, but it's a slow process.

Thanks!
Grahame
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it - Terry Pratchett.
