I sent Nation Trust an email regarding Sutton Hoo and had a polite answer from the area manager, but nothing at all from both the Norfolk or Suffolk people who control this site. It was explained none evasive ground radar was only allowed at ancient sites so as not to disturb or cause damage, but dowsing is MUCH better than any ground radar can ever be.
With this attitude any finds found by a dowser will never ever be examined or checked out, so knowledge and historic past of value to the country is lost, a sorry state of affairs.
