Thanks for that, Simon, but I have dowsed that Ley Lines emit no energy and the lines that the Ley Hunters appear to be looking for do contain energy.

Wow Great thanks so much guys got loads more reading to do. I am struggling with dowsing but i know I have to keep practicing. Do any of you use scientific equipment to find area's of geopathic stress or just dowsing rods?

Hi Tina,

It's occurred to me that if dowsers are dealing with ENERGY it may just be possible to pick that up electronically, but I can't claim to have tried it.

One dowser has estimated that Ley energy has a frequency between 150 and 470 MHz. So, if you know of a dude with a dipole - and a sensitive receiver ... now may prove to be your time in the sun. 8)

Hi Tina, Early days of BBC TOMORROWS WORLD. Someone shone a light through a crystal lens/window. They were able to measure the light energy. They switched the lamp off and the light energy could still be measured also vestige of the same energy was measured the following day. we have come a long way since then. Cheers Gray.

If you click on the link near the top where it says "setting up the UVG", it should open the file in Google Earth and you will see the lines. But remember these are also not leys, but there does seem to be some correspondence with long-distance alignments that I discuss in this article.
Some other interesting Google Earth files that I've put together can be found on The Geomancy Group site, including all the classic Watkins' leys from The Ley Hunter's Companion.

Good hunting!

And pretty soon I'm going to have to split this thread and move it into the Earth Energies section... :)

Happy New Year everybody!
My name is Hazel and I live near Dundee in Scotland. It’s 0 degrees here today and I’m sitting in front of the fire toasty warm. I have a husband of nearly fifty years bless him and two grown up children one in Edinburgh and one in Brisbane, and we are blessed with 3 beautiful grandchildren. I’m a Member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) which keeps me well grounded.
In brief :
I’ve been dowsing for 40 years on the quiet mostly to try to control the pain of my trigeminal neuralgia which has been a problem all my adult life though I use it for lots of other things too like composing the ‘right ‘ wording for emails.
I’ve had a lot of success in various ways ranging from putting a pain blocker in place on the nerve and I’m now trying to ease the pain by touch , pressure and movement while dowsing to detect where it’s required and when the disharmony has been restored to harmony. I’m very pleased with the success this method has been bringing to me in terms of easing of the pain over the last week.
I like having Reiki and doing Chakra Meditations when I remind myself that I am a spiritual being of light and colour having a human experience.
I’d be very interested to hear from any other members to whom this speaks , and /or living in this area. I found the Forum by looking up ‘dowsing and osteopathy’ and read several interesting posts but they were from 2008.
In Friendship, Hazel

Hello everyone! I'm just here to see if I can get some answers to a few burning questions. :) I'm from Ontario, Canada. I have tried my hand at dowsing, but unfortunately don't seem to have a knack for it. My grandmother was really very good at water-witching, and found wells sites for people in our area. I tried my hand at it - she did her best to show me - but it just wouldn't work for me. She showed me how to find a good Y-shaped branch of a fruitwood tree (apple or chokecherry), how to hold in in that awkward upside-down, inside-out way, and then just...walk! That was where I faltered. She would walk and the bark would sometimes nearly twist off in her hand. I walk along and...nothing. Something must have gotten lost in the translation, LOL.

Grandma had always been an energetically sensitive type. Oncoming storms would bother her joints (she always wore a copper bracelet to help), her moods would change with the moon, and she could never wear watches because they would always stop after a short period of wearing. She had told me stories of having seen what might have been spirits, but she adamantly denied that it could've been anything but her imagination.

Anyway, I'm just here to learn more about this esoteric skill in the hope that the talent has been passed along to an subsequent generation. Apparently it has missed me, but I'm hopeful that it may have landed on my kids. More about that in another thread. :)

Cheers!

Hi Areilla10 ,

To my knowledge, these are the main reasons why someone cannot dowse –

The person does not possess the talent.

The person’s Subconscious Mind contains very powerful memories of a past life trauma in which the use of their metaphysical talents resulted in torture and/or death, resulting in a very strong subconscious feeling that the person does not want to run the risk of that sort of event happening again. (this mental condition can usually be resolved using regression)

The person’s metaphysical talents are being blocked by someone or something.

I have found which of these reasons is affecting your dowsing and will be writing to you later in the day to explain things to you at a personal level.

Greetings! I am new to the forum. Thanks to the admin for adding me, though it took me a few attempts by me to get signed up/access to the forum.
During the early '70s I was a trainee on a horticultural course, and our course tutor gave us some practical instruction on finding the route of some buried electricity cables using dowsing with L rods, which we duly did. Since then I have always been intrigued by dowsing, but apart from reading a couple of books on the subject I have done little more regarding practical application. I live in the Birmingham (UK) area and understand that the BSD West Midlands group folded not very long ago. I would very much like to make contact with any local dowsers. Ged

Hi Ged. and welcome to the forum.

Yes, it is a great shame that the West Midland dowsers folded, but sadly nobody was willing to step up to the mark and keep the group running when Michael Guest passed on. I think your nearest group now is probably Malvern or maybe Leicestershire & Rutland dowsers. But you're amongst friends here, so feel free to chip in!

If you have enough enthusiasm to start a local group, drop an email to main office about it and they should send you some helpful information and help you to connect with other local dowsers in the area.

Hello everyone!

The first time I came across dowsing was in the Adventures of Tintin, where Professor Calculus dowsed with a pendulum :D

I started dowsing 7 or 8 years ago with a pendulum, and have found I can use L rods too. Moreover, I seen to be able to 'feel' energy pathways. I'm here to hopefully learn more, and see if theres ways to increase my skills, and workable explanations for what I'm sensing

Welcome Kirk!

You're not the only one who is a Tintin fan here - no doubt you'll have discovered this thread?

There's tons of information to be found here, and plenty of folks who'll be happy to answer any questions.
