There is a programme on BBC4 tonight at 11pm, called Exposed - Magicians, Psychics & Frauds, chronicling Randi's attempts to expose supposed faith healers & psychics.

Acclaimed pseudo-sceptic James Randi has passed on, aged 92. A second-rate conjuror, escape artist, so-called 'scientific investigator' (he had NO scientific qualifications), and self-professed sceptic and debunker, his main claim to fame remains his various high-profile tussles with Uri Geller and his so-called 'million-dollar challenge', which of course he never had any intention of giving away.

This is a rather excellent appraisal of the late pseudo-sceptic Mr. Randi, citing in particular the damage he has done to serious psi researchers like Dean Radin and Rupert Sheldrake, not to mention Wikipedia, which is now rigorously policed by armies of pseudo-sceptic trolls. Worth a read:
