crystal grids

Post by pauline »

I started recently to make crystal grids. They were on a painted canvas 8"x8" and i made them either in the shape of labyrinths, pentagrams or stars of david. I gridded the back of them with quartz with the intention that they would heal any adverse energies in the house. Now i'll be the first to admit, i got a bit carried away with this, trying various combinations! As they looked very pretty, i hung them all in the hall, stairway and landing. Two days later, i can't sleep. The grids were energizing the house to the extent that i had to take them all down, wrap them up and put them in the garage around the corner!
My friend, Lynne, has a house that is both geopathically stressed and lives next door to an elelctric sub station. We put a rose quartz grid in the house and the geopathic stress vanished but we still had problems with the sub station. We then tried a sodalite grid in the house which changed the energies again - it still didn't feel right and the geopathic stress came back - they have a circle of it a yard wide in the living room. I noticed two energy centres in the garden both a couple of foot wide and they felt very relaxing. That grid was removed.
The third grid we put in was a snowy/clear quartz on a green background. For an hour we sat there and felt the energies subside - the buzziness went away and it felt really calming and a month later it still feels the same.
As we sat there the two earth energies in the garden vanished within the space of half an hour and a new one came in - about a foot wide and much more intense although it still felt really nice.
Question: Why should the changing of the crystal grids affect the earth energies so? There was no change between the first two grids but the third one, which has settled the house, has brought a new energy in.

Happy New Year to you Pauline. I see you've been doing some experimenting with crystals since mentioning them in this other thread.
It's an area where lots more research needs to be done, but it is well-known that crystals affect earth energies, particularly ley-type energy. You can 'turn down' a ley by using a long quartz point like a volume knob - place it centrally on the ley pointing downstream, then turn it through 90 degrees until it is perpendicular to the ley. This reduces the ley almost to nothing, and is a technique I still use if I'm sleeping in an unfamiliar hotel room that has a ley running through the bed. Sometimes, depending on the crystal used, I find that some of the energy gets diverted at right angles to the ley. Some pieces of black tourmaline placed on these will soak up the leakage.

Different crystals will of course have different effects, and you will need to experiment with these to see what works for you. The usual 'healing' crystals seem to be most beneficial - rose quartz, amethyst, tourmaline etc. I've even used a large piece of flint on one occasion!

Different shaped crystals also have interesting effects. I have a set of quartz crystals in the shapes of the five Platonic solids, known as a "Geomancer's tool kit". These produce dramatic effects on leys, and not all beneficial either. The octahedron in particular produced instant headaches in all participants. But each shape caused the ley to generate a larger form around the crystal, many feet across if the ley energy was strong.
But I mention these as I suspect there may be something similar going on with your crystal grids. You would need to experiment with different geometries, dimensions and placements to see what's happening each time, but it's a worthy research project.

Happy New Year Grahame! You have given me lots to think about! The labyrinths are the ones that seem to be working best and seem to draw earth energys to the house. My friend Pauline was given a sodalite labyrinth as she has the wi-fi in her house. She phoned me up three hours later quite excited as the house felt so different and the new energies were now half way up the stairs. I need to go round there and see for myself.
I can see this is going to keep me busy trying all the different ideas!

In the UK, these can be bought here, both 5 & 7 stone sets, or 5 stone sets here as well.(link broken)

When I was much younger, I was working in the house of an experienced water diviner who said that certain shapes were reactive to dowsing and could project themselves beyond their existing position. to prove this he drew freehand with a pencil on a piece of paper a pentagram which he placed on a side table in the ground floor hallway. Handing me his pendulum and pointer. he invited me to dowse the drawing.
To my astonishment I was not only able to locate the five points of the star in the basement below in the exact perpendicular position of the drawing on the table on the ground floor, but also in the room directly above the drawing. He claimed that this phenomenon would also project horizontally if the pentagram were pinned to a board and aimed at a wall or other distant object where it could be detected by pointer and pendulum. I declined the offer of proof however because I felt that I should get on with my installation work. I have never investigated this further but have often wondered how far the detectable line could extend and if the pentagram would increase in size with distance.
This also poses the question, could the shape determine the line's ability to penetrate solid surfaces and ground?

I often draw pentacles in the air (and on paper) for protection among other things but I've never though to dowse the energy created. I know its there, but i've never tried to "prove" it. In my defence though :) I am pretty new to dowsing, so there are a lot of things I could be dowsing that I have just never thought of before. From now on I'm going to be dowsing pretty much everything hehehehe

I think you might find relevant research & comments in one of Lethbridge's books - but I'm afraid I cannot remember which!

Hello all,

I have been very interested to read about Pentagrams and your experiences. Whilst I have never put crystals on my Pentagram, I have for many years had a local map with my home and garden on it and have drawn a Pentagram that encompasses my home and garden. I retrace the pentagram about once a month to keep it 'topped up'.

I read about Pentagrams many years ago in a local paper (Devon)which reported that a market gardener on the Isles of Scilly had done this and increased his daffodil crop by getting them flower earlier. In my own experience, my garden is less frosty than the field opposite and I can overwinter plants that would normally die. Has anyone else found that Pentagrams increase temperature locally?

This stuff is bread and butter to the Earth Energies Group. Over the years, much work has been done dowsing the properties of various geometric shapes, in particular forms involving the Golden Proportion such as the pentagon/pentagram. Temperature increases were found, even if the pentagon was not completely accurate geometrically. For starters, have a look at this 1999 article from the EEG newsletter archive: Dowsing Zones Get Hotter! by Dudley Wheeler.

Also of interest is The Ubiquitous Ovoid by Jim Lyons, which discusses the properties of the Golden Egg.

I might also mention my own article The Golden Proportion, which is an earlier and slightly condensed version of A Sacred Geometry Primer. Both of these have some interesting information about the pentagram. The Geomancy Group site also has instructions for constructing a pentagram. It's a bit of a specialist subject of mine....

Hi Graham,

I got it wrong - I meant a pentagon not a pentagram (5 pointed star?) You are right - I should look back into my EE Newsletters!! I've probably got that article - and read it - but so long ago I had forgotten! As a total dyslexic when it comes to numbers, anything with too much mathematic information in it has a tendency not to sink into the grey cells!
I too have a set of Platonic Solids, plus a sphere and a merkerber(??? not sure if thats what its called) and relate them to chakra points in healing, sphere being the crown. Very interesting objects.

How interesting! when I first began to dowse, I decided to go out and pick the first object that really resonated with me. I ended up going for a hair bobbin that I found in Boots and wonder of wonders, having just followed one of Graham's links to a set of Platonic Solids, I find that my first pendulum (and strongest?) is a plastic Icosahedron.

Graham,

is it possible for a pentagram shape to be drawn onto a map of UK and Ireland and for the intent of many dowsers to be poured into it? Or in a test area? i.e could we alleviate hardship being caused by the heavy snow by upping the temperatures??

Even if we could, which (although this is an instinctive response) I don't believe we could, how ethical would that be? Think of the implications....

Simon has a point about the ethical and karmic implications. However, I don't think it would be out of order to try this on your own property, or a patch of your own property, provided you dowse to check that you have permission to do so. It would be an interesting experiment. Imagine having a snow-free pentagon-shaped patch on your lawn!

Yes, agreed Simon and graham, I just kinda threw it out there as an interesting idea.

I actually etched one in the snow on the bonnet of my Xantia to make sure it might start for me! No proof that it did as a result of the Pentagram! It just did, thank God.

However, that got me thinking about the designs you sometimes see on bonnets of cars. I knew I'd seen stars on the bonnets of something before. And this is it: - The US army vehicles. See http://www.hardscrabblefarm.com/car_club/1944mb.htm for an example and surf to the near bottom of the page where the jeep's almost refurbished "I'm going to go with the regulation stars, not the D-Day invasion stars(star with circle around it)." Interesting reference to the regulation star and the D-Day design. Thoughts Graham?

Why would the D-Day symbol be the Wiccan Pentacle? Related link re Wiccan Pentacle as a symbol in the US Forces is here http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/rel ... soldi.html
