Scientists at Pacific Northwest and Oak Ridge national laboratories examined water, energy and food systems for 235 b...

Re: INTRODUCE YOURSELF

It might be useful to include photographs - is that possible within the forum posts? I'm slightly undecided which is the most appropriate topic area! Unfortunately we don't allow hosting of pictures on the forum, only user avatars - for larger pictures you would need to host them elsewhere then lin...

Re: INTRODUCE YOURSELF

Hi Ian, welcome to the forum. You've picked some interesting books to study there! Congrats on locating that well - that thrill of finding something with your dowsing rods never gets old. Lethbridge's 'long pendulum' method is an interesting technique, but can be rather unwieldy in practice. Not man...

Re: Dowsing Skill

I've just learned about another Jesuit dowser who worked in India... Father Donatas Slapsys worked more than six decades among the poor in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. He died in 2010. I don't know whether he was associated with Water For Life? ...most people in Ahmednagar area remember ...

Re: The trouble with Wikipedia

Here is an interesting case study of a Wikipedia bio edit of journalist George Knapp that was repeatedly 'reset' by the Guerilla Skeptics group (Knapp is an investigative journalist noted for his reporting on UFOs). This is very typical behaviour when it comes to Biographies of Living Persons (BLPs)...

I didn't make the cut for the third part, but there is a promise of the study being extended if more funding can be sourced, so there's still hope...

Ron Dudley-Smith

I've just heard that BSD member Ron Dudley-Smith has passed away. Visitors to the Rollright Stones might remember Ron as he was a regular warden who would give dowsing instruction to visitors. You can see him in action here: https://www.rollrightstones.co.uk/get-involved/friends Ron was a lovely cha...

I've made it through the second stage of the selection process, waiting to hear if I make the cut for the final 50 in part 3. Fingers crossed!

'Age-old practice of water divining growing in popularity'

A video report from ABC News, Australia: https://youtu.be/eGGgHzEq7D4?si=TZ5HRTkl3f4vu89z Curiously, on their sister channel ABC Australia, they've posted the exact same video , only this time with the tag line 'There's no scientific evidence that water divining works so why is it still popular?' He...
