Re: Glow in the dark L-Rods
An Aurameter is one of the few dowsing/divining devices I have yet to try. The closest item I can think of that is in some ways similar function wise is a bobber? No, it's so much more than a bobber. I describe it as 'the Swiss army knife of dowsing tools', because it can do everything. For more in...

Geoff, welcome to the forum and thanks for posting on an interesting topic. I shall leave your post where it is for now, but in due course I'm going to merge it with the other thread to keep things tidy.

Re: Lecher Antenna
Really interesting video, thanks for posting Mark. I've edited your post to embed the video... instead of clicking on the link icon, use the one to the right of the font size box (it looks like a monitor), which will insert the media tags. I'm the opposite, I'd not heard of Lecher Lines before now, ...

Blimey, they're a bit pricey, aren't they? I think I'll stick to my Aurameter.

Re: Who first used the term 'ley line'? (history question)
Hmmm... only one mention of 'ley' as in 'Ley Hunters'. So it would seem that the reference in his letter of Dec 1969 is currently the earliest candidate for use.

Re: Who first used the term 'ley line'? (history question)
I don't have as much time as I would like to research this in depth at the moment, but I have found a couple of articles in 'The Ley Hunter' magazine archives (Incidentally, @SparkTalker, you can find links to these here ). Here's one by Tony Wedd from May 1970 (scroll to p. 5) where he uses the ter...

Thanks for the due diligence, Mark. That saves me digging out my copy of The Goat-Foot God (if I can find it) and reading it again!

Re: Who first used the term 'ley line'? (history question)
Great find Mark, thanks for posting. I think we are getting closer here. After a quick bit of searching, I found out that Richard Long's exhibition in the Whitechapel Gallery ran from 9-21 November 1971 . Yet I've since found a 1971 reference from Andrew Kerr, who talks about the pyramid stage at th...

Pendulum anomalies during eclipses
I have heard of this effect before, but it's surely worth some further investigation by dowsers? Pendulum Anomaly During Solar Eclipses Could Rewrite the Laws of Science While most people take in the awe-inspiring spectacle of a solar eclipse by looking at the sky, a small group of scientists spend ...

Sadly, the forum won't allow you to send a picture as a PM, Tina.
I hope Mike won't mind if I send you his email address so you can communicate privately?

Re: Newbie Help: Dowsing Missing Father
Maybe I should try to dowse his movements after his disappearance, though at this point I feel I’d like/need the help of a very experienced Dowser. You could try contacting the BSD to see if they can recommend one of their professionals; however dowsing for missing persons is an extremely specialis...

New England dowsing
Witchcraft? Voodoo? Amid historic drought, more are turning to an ancient practice in their quest for water. Scientists scoff, but dowsers insist their forked sticks really work. IPSWICH — When Elizabeth Green found herself in dire need of a new well-water source to sustain her five-acre hillside p...
