Rest of story HERE.A Guernseyman who practices dowsing is hoping to set up a local branch of the British Society of Dowsers.
Dowsing is an ancient practice most commonly used for locating underground water sources but it has other uses.
Tony Talmage is a dowser in Guernsey and said it can also be used to find minerals, lost people and pets and negative energy amongst other things.
The practice uses hand held tools to highlight small muscle spasms caused by different "energies" in the Earth.
Tony explained dowsers traditionally use metal rods, a wooden stick or a pendulum held out in front of the dowser to detect things. He said: "It's all about connecting our own intuition to the information field which is out there that we don't see with our five senses."
