The Hum, Suicides and Earth Energies.
I am about to see a client who is affected by The Hum.
The Hum is an on-going noise, low frequency, sometimes associated with EMFs. The Hum has cropped up in a variety of locations, including Bristol ( See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8056284.stm ~ to see the article paste this address into your browser) Military experiments and telecommunications are suspected.
There is no definitive explanation, or cure.
The Hum can drive people mad. Some suicides have been linked to The Hum.
Is there an Earth Energy angle ? If there is then it should be possible to identify remedial action.
I welcome your views.
Best wishes
Ced Jackson

Re: The Hum, Suicides and Earth Energies.
Ced, the description fits exactly what I had been experiencing for years in Norwich.
I believed it was a street light or even the outside electric motor running at the post office two doors down from me.
So concerned I went to an ear specialists for tests but he found nothing wrong except to say that i had exceptionally good hearing for my age. I see this was suggested in the report.
It sounds just like deep humming coming from the fridge and can be experienced in each room of the house but as soon as you open the window of the room your in it goes.
I invited several people to come and listen, even Environmental staff from the local council who could not hear it but one or two of my friends could.

Hi Ced, I believe what you refer to is linked with electrical currents, it is a theory of myself and other friends that the frequencies of some technologies, has a detrimental effect, combine a few of these, and you must have by-products. I have experienced pain, fuzzy feeling in my teeth in a certain place, when I moved I never experienced this again, I never got to the bottom of it but I had an old v.c.r which I am convinced had an impact. There are so many appliances we use that ommit different things, its bound to have an effect. Electric lines also buzz when wet... Just an opinion.

Same here, Arthur. I've heard/felt a pronounced low, pulsing hum where I live in southwestern Colorado for about three years. In the US, this phenomenon was first reported in Taos, New Mexico and similar reports are now coming in from all areas of the world. The word "hum" sounds benign, almost pleasant, but this is a low-pitched, rhythmic and very annoying vibration. It is a weird mixture between a sensation and an audible noise. My husband cannot detect it. The phenomenon is becoming so widespread that it even has its own Wikipedia page.arthur hamlin wrote:...the description fits exactly what I had been experiencing for years in Norwich
I have dowsed that the earth is a crystalline structure, and through centuries of drilling, mining, underground munitions/nuclear testing, and bombing associated with wars, we have altered the conduction properties of the planet in such a way that forces cannot be channeled normally; the earth has essentially become an "echo chamber." Coupled with the electromagnetic issues ledgehammer raises, we are living in a soup of stimuli that is extremely detrimental to all creatures, whether or not they can hear/feel it.

Hello Ced,
Having been affected by a background "hum" some years ago it was quickly diagnosed as tinintinitus by the doctor. I'd been using an angle grinder for a few days removing rust from wrought iron fencing, without wearing ear protection. I didn't notice the hum until bedtime when all other background noises had subsided. The noise was a continuous hum at a low frequency and it continued for 3 to 4 months. I was initially convinced that something within the house was making the noise but nothing was on and the wife couldn't hear anything.
I know of two other people who have suffered other similar hearing problems, my mother worked in a high rise office ( Kay & Co, Elgar House, Worcester) and a close friend worked at Malvern Hills District Council, both worked high up (above Sea level) and both were diagnosed with "meniers disease" . Both returned to full normal health when returned to a normal low level environment. Kay & Co used to transmit data via microwave from the top of Elgar House and it's likely that MHDC could have been affected by microwave transmission from or to RSRE Malvern. I have since read a report that microwave transmission may stimulate the hair follicles of the inner ear in susceptible individuals.
On another note, I really enjoyed your lecture to Cheltenham Dowsers about a year ago!

Re: The Hum, Suicides and Earth Energies.
The HUM can be caused by airport radar and local micro-wave towers I read someplace, and while I am no scientist how about when the hum can be heard you try a chicken wire frame enough to cover your head area well earthed to any metal pipes in the house, see if this removes the hum where you normally sit, then if nothing happens try turning the chicken wire frame around your head so it faces every direction to see if any of the positions kills the hum....Then if one position stops the hum approach that wall nearest to you and sit/stand there with the cage around your head still, if nothing can be heard try the next room in the same direction so you can see where the sound/hum/signal is coming from.If moving the hum continues when you stand against the wall then its coming from inside the room where you sit, check any electrical devices by unplugging them to see if this removes the hum ? The chicken wire frame should act like a Faraday Cage, but it has to be EARTHED and to something like the radiator pipes...Good luck, even lights can cause this Im told, the strip lights in kitchens being a problem as well. And faulty house wiring is another, where loose connections cause a feed back...Good hunting folks....DONT think earth forces cause this problem in my opinion.

Re: The Hum, Suicides and Earth Energies.
An article on the BBC websiteA village in Durham is the latest place to report a strange vibrating noise - known as "the hum". Why is it such a mystery?
According to sufferers, it is as if someone has parked next to your house and left the engine running. The Hum is a mystery low frequency noise, a phenomenon that has been reported across Britain, North America and Australia in the past four decades.
There are a range of theories from farm or factory machinery to conspiracy theories such as flying saucers. And yet, 'the hum' remains an unsolved case
In 2009, Dr David Baguley, head of audiology at Addenbrooke's Hospital told the BBC that in about two thirds of cases no external noise could be found

When working alone high on Dartmoor a few years ago, I experienced a loud 'hum' (about 50/60~) increasing in volume for several seconds, followed by a lightning strike to a tor about half a mile away. After the thunderclap the hum stopped. I guess the crystalline composition of the granite rock was resonating due to the build-up of static electricity in the area prior to the strike.

Re: The Hum, Suicides and Earth Energies.
Wonder if it was a fault line under pressure deep down flooding the area with the low static hum ? Might be the natural earth force local to the area in high power levels wanting to discharge that attracted the lightning strike, take your pick..Good job you never had the GOLF BROLLY up at the time, or your socks might have caught fire.

Mike. I deny being on a golf course at that time. I did however have a large fishing umbrella in the landrover for jointing underground cables in inclement weather. How did you know?

Re: The Hum, Suicides and Earth Energies.
The BBC article mentions three sites where the HUM has been recorded along with Norwich, and those are Woodlands Durham,Bondi Sidney, OZ,and Kokamo in Indiana USA, all these places I can Google tonight and see if they have a common thread running through ? I know Kokamo in the US was the scene of a genuine UFO video and sightings in the area a while ago, and Norfolk is the ufo hotspot of Britain I believe, as for Bondi, well the beer there reaches parts NO OTHER beer ever reaches, so that might explain that one Come back if I pick anything up folks...
Oh yes, I know a good part of the east side of Dartmoor has a wide Black Water Line running south to north through the Moor, was you close to the east side Griff by ANY chance mate ?

Re: The Hum, Suicides and Earth Energies.
hAD A QUICK LOOK and found something of interest at Bondi Australia, the town has any number of energy/ley lines running south to north and west to east across the town, no fault lines as I can see, BUT Bondi has two Sacred Sites in the town on its west side, with one site being the Chinese Friendship Gardens, and the other being where Henson Lane crossed Bulwara Road..Now did the early Chinese in the town erect this site right over the special ground to include its earth forces, I have to Google it to learn of its history...The Kokomo site has one energy/Ley line passing through the middle of town (s to n), but nothing of note there that I can dowse, nothing on a par with Bondi for historic value....The Woodlands site is again interesting in that a wide BWline east to west and south to north runs across the area of Post Office and Woodlands House along the main single road there, and it has water lines running almost the same way,no fault lines that I can dowse ...So from this both Woodlands and Dartmoor have the common link of wide BWLines running across the area, AND might even be the same path since the Dartmoor path runs north towards the north/east coast ? Have to go now, my eyes are dropping out, the sandman is calling and I havent finished yet folks...ZZZZzzzzz.
Googling the Chinese Gardens I amazed to see it was built in 1988, so its not very old at all, if you Google Earth the site is right where the PHOTO/CAMERA symbol is in the gardens, near the water features, so its a fitting place to be in that tranquil area of beauty.Visit if you are ever that way folks, its as moving as it ever gets...

Hi Mike.
The Sticklepath Fault
This zone of faulting runs across the whole of the south west peninsula from Bideford to Torbay. It is of Alpine date, probably contemporary with the southern tilt originating from major eathquakes. It cuts across the north-eastern part of the Dartmoor area where it can be traced by a series of faults and valleys parallel to the NW/SE fault line. It has been exploited by various rivers over time including the Bovey and tributaries of the Teign and Taw. Associated shatter zones form preferential flow for groundwater possibly from as far away as the Black Mountains in South Wales. The geological stresses involved in the formation of the fault line may possibly be one of the reasons for black line dowsing characteristics in areas along the fault line.
It is said locally that thunderstorms from an easterly direction rarely cross the Dart. Could this be the influence of this major fault line running through the nearby Torquay area.?
The Tor which was stricken after the 'Hum' was Bowerman's Nose BTW..
Stay cool

Thats interesting Griff, the direction you speak of is right on with the BWLines mate, and N/E Dartmoor has the main path pass that way, I always wanted to drive down that area to dowse it out and record just where the lines exist , but have never managed to do that yet...I can drive further away from home now than before, went through a period where I could not drive far at all, but Im getting back to normal now, managed Yarmouth a few times, so fingers crossed I will visit Dartmoor sometime mate before my toes curl up
Looking around the area ANY number of fault lines run across this area of Cornwall/Devon and Dartmoor Griff, they are small but active and its opened my eyes a little this, nothing like your New Britain eruption area mind you, those are powerful and a danger, but then again so might those in Cornwall, who can tell ?? Eruptions come from nowhere and cause death in a blink of the eye, so ANY fault line needs watching, as it has the capacity to expand and move ?
