I wonder why it was given this name! Any ideas?

Im sure my granddad served on this light ship Helen, and I think the name is the area of the UK, where shipping forcasts would include every area around the coast each day on the radio ?

Inner Dowsing is one of the shipping areas off Lincolnshire I think? See: http://www.nationalhistoricships.org.uk ... er-dowsing
Great picture though! I'm sorely tempted to steal that for my Facebook profile page... :)

Hmmm - it seems now to be a wind farm!

And the vessel later served time as a seafood restaurant.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it - Terry Pratchett.
