GEOFF STUTTAFORD

Post by Yvette »

It is with sadness that I wish to inform you that Geoff Stuttaford passed away on Saturday 20th August. He was 94 years old.
Geoff was an incredible character. Up until 2020,when lockdown prevented him, he still travelled to London to meet our small group once a month even with Macular degeneration!
He had helped and taught so many people worldwide and was still taking daily calls to assist others until he was hospitilised.
Once I have the details of his funeral which will take place in his hometown of Weston Super Mare, I will inform this forum.

"May you continue to inspire us:
To enter each day with a generous heart.
To serve the call of courage and love" Benedictus, John O'Donohghue

Sorry to hear about Geoff's passing Yvette. He was one of our more prolific posters, although he'd been quiet this last year or so.
Thanks for letting us know.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it - Terry Pratchett.

(From the BSD office)

Funeral Arrangements
The internment of dear Geoff’s ashes will take place on Wednesday 28th September, when his urn will
be buried in Plot 2404, This will take place at 2pm at:

Weston Crematorium and Cemetery
Ebdon Road
Weston Super Mare
BS22 9NY
Tel: 01934 510 608.

As you drive into the cemetery, the car park is on the right and the office building is on the left. Can we
please meet up around 1.45 by the office building, where we will be escorted to the graveside.
After this everyone is welcome to join us for tea at:

The Nut Tree Pub
34 Ebdon Road
Worle
Weston Super Mare
BS22 6UN.

To get there you turn right out of the cemetery gates, continue straight on when you get to a
roundabout and you'll see the pub on the left, just a few minutes drive. Please let me know if you are
coming to the pub by emailing yvettebeckley (at) gmail.com. I need numbers so the pub know how
many to cater for. There we can continue to honour Geoff’s life and there will be some photos etc to
peruse.
If you can or cannot attend, but would like to make a donation in Geoff’s memory, please contribute
to https://www.stroke.org.uk/donate/make-donation.
